Air
There are regular international flights to Seville from various places in Europe including London, Paris, Brussels, Rome, Amsterdam and Lisbon. Travellers from North America will need a connecting flight from one of these hubs. Seville’s smallish airport, San Pablo, is about 6 miles northeast of the city. A half-hourly bus service takes passengers to the Santa Justa railway station in the city centre, with various stops on the way. The cost of a single ticket is 2.30 Euros. There are plenty of taxis outside the terminal building – the fare to the city centre is about 20 Euros. There are also a number of leading car hire companies based at the airport. Train
Seville has good rail links and the AVE high-speed train between Seville and major cities such as Cordoba and Madrid will often be quicker than flying, if you include checking-in time. The journey from Madrid, for instance, would be about three hours. The trains arrive at the modern and user-friendly Santa Justa station.
Road
Many of the main roads and motorways in Andalucía are new and in very good condition. However, as a result of the rapid expansion of the road network in recent years, some maps are out of date, so be sure to buy one that was published recently. Two-lane fast motorways now link most of the major cities of Andalucía. For example, there’s a toll motorway from Seville to Jerez (car: 4 Euros) and Cádiz (5 Euros).
