This historic luxury hotel in Vienna was established in 1876 by one Eduard Sacher, whose father had famously created the original sacher-torte. Run by Eduard’s wife, it soon became a hotel of noble reputation. The hotel has been run since 1934 by the Gurtler family who continue to maintain the highest standards in this five star luxury hotel today. Of course, the Hotel Sacher is recognized on the Condé Nast Traveller Gold List 2008 as one of the finest luxury hotels in Vienna.

Tasteful classic colours are used in both the curtains and soft furnishings to complement the art collection which is on display throughout this luxury hotel. The 152 rooms and suites are graded from superior and deluxe to executive suites. The two Presidential suites have breathtaking views of Vienna and elaborately decorated luxurious décor. The two new top floors are decorated in a more contemporary style, created by designer Pierre Yves Rochon. These rooms have the latest high-tech detail including wireless LAN, dolby surround sound, underfloor heating and plasma TVs. The Anna Sacher gourmet restaurant and the Rote Bar serve typical Viennese cuisine whilst the Blaue Bar is a cosy setting for a drink with friends.
