Refined and prestigious, the Bulgari Hotel in Milan links contemporary design with comfort. A tribute from the Italian Jeweller to the world of luxury, situated in Milan’s most stylish area - Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga, the Scala theatre and the Academy of Brera. It is an unexpected oasis of exclusive tranquillity immersed in the frenzy of the city centre. A 4,000 sqm private garden, next to the Botanical Gardens, incorporates the hotel in a haven of green. The building is made up of three sections. The oldest of the three facades dates back to the 1700s and is partly visible. Designed by architects Antonio Citterio and Partners, in line with Bulgari’s bold and contemporary style, the hotel features rare and precious materials which create new combinations of surfaces and surprising chromatic armonious: black marble in the public spaces, Vicenza stone and Turkish Aphyon in the Spa, solid teak, durmast and oak in the intimate rooms and suites. All spaces feature contemporary Italian furniture and details designed by Citterio. Comfort is top priority in the rooms. The large windows open out onto teak balconies overlooking the garden, and the daylight draws attention to the harmony of the colours and materials inside. The fabrics are in tones of light brown and grey, which complement the English oak flooring and highlight the black furnishings.

Located just minutes from the glamorous boutiques on Via Montenapoleone and Via della Spiga, the Bulgari Hotel is the epitome of Milanese chic. Architects Antonio Citterio & Partners created both the building, with its elegant high ceilings, granite columns and original 1700s façade, and all of the contemporary furniture within. The result is pure sophistication.
The hotel is filled with light and guests can enjoy the comforting warmth of an open fire in the lobby, which has an evolving display of contemporary art. Clean lines lend an Asian feel to the rooms and the elegant bathrooms are lined with black Zimbabwe marble and Navona travertine and stocked with the finest Bulgari toiletries. Facilities include plasma screens and wi-fi and each room has a teak balcony looking out over the garden, which was first planted in the 14th century.
At one end of the garden is the hotel bar, with an elegant terrace for pre-dinner drinks – Negronis are the aperitivi of choice. For a more secluded dining experience, groups of tables are dotted throughout the green expanse of the grounds, giving the impression that you are dining alone in your own personal garden. Amenities at the hotel are outstanding, from the swish spa and fitness centre, with its gold and green mosaic pool and hammam, to the personal shopping service and the boardrooms for business travellers.
