Luxury hotel Golden Palace in Turin opened in 2005, ahead of that year’s Winter Olympics. The luxury hotel embraces the games, from its gold-silver-bronze colour scheme to its timepiece-inspired geometric design. The facilities
The luxury hotel’s Winners Restaurant and Time Bar both have an ultra-modern design take on the Olympic theme. Diners eat in a tastefully decorated black-and-cream restaurant with gold medal motifs on the walls, and then move on to the stopwatch-inspired bar (where it’s hard to forget the time no matter how many cocktails are enjoyed). Digital LED configurations of minutes and seconds fade in and out from behind the smoked-glass walls, and a great golden clock looms behind the luxury hotel’s antique marble bar.
The Golden Palace’s GoldenSPA offers an exercise pool, Turkish bath and beauty treatments, all in luxurious surroundings.
The rooms
The Golden Palace has 195 air conditioned rooms. The ultra-contemporary rooms are decorated in warm greys, beiges and greens, offset by touches of stark medal-inspired silver and gold.
