Detailed Review
The Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo, situated just a few steps from Monte-Carlo’s legendary Grand Casino, has undergone a complete refurbishment and re-opened its doors end of July 2004 as the hottest hotel address in town, the ideal urban resort.
Both the interiors and exterior have been re-designed by world famous Jacques Garcia. Whilst the exterior of the property and its overall ambiance remains classic in style, Garcia has added a modern twist, ensuring that Hotel Metropole is now set apart from the other Casino Square properties.
The chic bar and lounge area offers all-day dining and gourmet restaurant under the expert guidance of globally renowned Joel Robuchon provides stunning sea views and a bird’s eye view of the Grand Prix circuit.
Each bedroom is finished to the highest specification and is rich in textures. Cool colours come together with the finest natural materials including solid wood and smooth slate to offer stunning bathrooms. All bedrooms are designed to equally suit the needs of leisure and business travellers, elegant but with all the hi-tech features.
The suites and junior suites are sought-after retreats for those wanting space, comfort and views â many feature terraces and fabulous ocean views. The property also has a lavish Penthouse Suite, Suite Carre d’or’ (Golden Square), with a huge private terrace offering unsurpassed views of the Mideterranean Sea, The Cote d’Azur and Casino Square.
The Metropole E’SPA Monte-Carlo, opening early 2006, will offer a range of personalized consultations in a space of 13 treatment rooms and VIP suites. Individual consultations will be available as will a menu of spa packages. Within the spa will also be relaxation rooms and fitness center, all in proximity to a pool of heated sea water which reopened in May 2005.
These stylish renovations and additions, combined with the unrivalled levels of service, facilities and surroundings, set a new precedent, exceeding the expectations of the most discerning client, and assuring the property its place in the history of this exquisite quarter of Europe. This is very much a Palace hotel in tune with the times.
Press Quotes
"Rooms are plushly outfitted with striped silk-damask curtains and silk-covered walls; bathrooms have pie-plate shower heads, double sinks, and oversized tubs. But what really entices is its swell locationâsteps from the gardens of Monte Carlo’s casino, right in the heart of the principalityâand constellation of superb amenities, including a Robuchon restaurant, a saltwater pool, and a sensational spa."
