Detailed Review
Built in the late 15th-century, Kssour Agafay was originally an aristocratic residence owned by a noble Moroccan family in Marrakech. This beautiful boutique hotel has been lovingly restored to its previous glory by local craftsmen, and is now a chic bolthole for trendy travellers.
The facilities
This boutique hotel’s restaurant offers a daily-changing Moroccan menu. Guests are free to choose where they prefer to dine. A few ideal dining spots include the relaxed Moroccan salons, open air patio or the terrace overlooking the Atlas Mountains and old medina. At the Bar Fumoir guests can enjoy drinks and Montecristo cigars while perusing the regularly held art exhibitions.
Sightseeing excursions and onward travel arrangements can be arranged by contacting reception at this boutique hotel. Horse and camel riding, golfing, cycling and hot air ballooning are among several activities that can also be arranged upon request at Kssour Agafay.
The rooms
Kssour Agafay boasts 5 double rooms and 1 twin room (with a carved wooden bathroom ceiling), however all can be converted into twin rooms if required. Each has been restored using original 15th-century features and many have a local Moroccan theme. The tadelakt ensuite bathrooms are designed to blend harmoniously with the decoration of each bedroom.
