Detailed Review
Just four intimate rooms - that's the special beauty of Riad 72. This little palace in the Medina is where you will find all the splendour of the Orient, traditional hospitality and boutique hotel standards of service. Palm trees, banana plants, a fountain and a glass of mint tea to take you away from it all. A riad for anyone who values peace and quiet and the personal touch.

“Pull up an enormous cushion, and recharge your batteries in the banana tree and fountain-filled courtyard or on the uncharacteristically high-up pool terrace...” The Times 06

"A classic Marrakechi riad, small and intimate with just three rooms, a suite, a stylish courtyard and a sumptuous hammam."
Riad 72
By Joanna Monkhouse
When you manage to find the alley that is home to Riad 72, the huge black 72 painted on the wall will make sure you know it. This is a small riad, only 4 rooms but it has a definite designer feel to it.
The main suite is enormous and minimalist, with a high ceiling and a bed that floats in a sea of floor. The tadelakt bath is a big square pot set in from the walls, and the basin is also rectangular, set on a metal frame. Each room has its own style the duplex has a small salon below and the red bed is on a platform with a glass partition separating it from the wooden staircase. The shower room behind is on the same level as the bed, with a large round shower area and a door to the stairs leading up to the roof terrace.
The courtyard is green and leafy, with large palm fronds visible from every window. Riad 72 is stylish and unusual.
