Sophisticated minimalist
The Riad Due is located in the old medina of Marrakech, opposite the Dar el Pacha Palace. Close to most of the local sights, it is a pleasant stroll to the Jemaa El Fna Square where local vendors, snake charmers and entertainers add to the noisy mêlée. The local souks are conveniently close to this boutique hotel and the Bahia Palace and Koutoubia Mosque are also within easy reach. The airport is a 20 minute drive away.
This former Moroccan palace and riad-style home now welcomes discerning guests to its comfortable accommodation as a modern boutique hotel in Marrakech’s old city. Offering just 4 suites on a bed and breakfast basis, the spacious comfort and excellent amenities are designed to pamper and spoil.
Suite Abdel is on the ground floor and has a huge marble bath, his n’hers sinks and a spacious dressing area. Slightly smaller and cheaper is the Suite Zan with its unusual copper bathtub. The cosy Samir Suite has a platform bed and its own fireplace while the economically priced Kamal guest room has a fireplace, walk-in shower and a marble sink. The contemporary furnishings and oversized bathrooms have all the latest technology from rain showerheads to room safes and from air conditioning to WiFi. The rooms are decorated in a modern contemporary design with oversized beds and ample sitting space. The rooms are arranged around the courtyard pool which offers a cool and tranquil space surrounded by comfortable lounge seating and verdant greenery.
From the high roof terraces of the riad there are spectacular views across the city to the distant Atlas Mountains. Comfortable chairs make this is a great place to sit with a glass of wine or a traditional cup of mint tea. Sun loungers are also arranged in shady loggias around the terrace pool.
Sister hotel to the Riad 12 and Riad 72, this luxury riad hotel group certainly owns some of the best boutique hotels in Marrakech and is highly recommended for those looking for more European standards.
