The luxury Ryad Dyor’s decor produces a stunning fusion of modern and Moorish style, just around the corner from Marrakech’s Riad Arih. The Dutch owners are designers (interiors and fashion) and it shows. The furnishings at this luxury riad are a melange of Moroccan and European antiques, complemented by modern textiles and lighting.
The facilities
The panoramic terrace of Ryad Dyor looks over the old city of Marrakech. From the terrace guests can admire the Koutoubia Mosque, the thousands of roof tops and the Atlas Mountains in the distance.
A delicious breakfast is served daily and includes freshly squeezed juice, fruit with honey and yogurt and fresh pastries. Meals can be taken anywhere at the luxury riad, though lunch and dinner are not available at the Ryad Dyor itself.
The staff are extremely personable, and are always available for any request, with a cup of mint tea in hand. The staff will even personally escort guests through the streets of the medina to a recommended restaurant. They also organise tours through the city or trips to the Atlas Mountains.
The rooms
The five suites and two double rooms at Ryda Dyor are all uniquely decorated and are stuffed with quirky design details: copper lanterns, Balinese mirrors, and egg-smooth tadelakt bathtubs. Traditional elements at the luxury riad include plastered bathrooms, hammam towels latticed windows, fireplaces, babouche slippers and iron lanterns.
