Hotel V

Hotel V is a young and fresh transformation of a family-owned and run hotel, a 5-minute tram ride from the centre of Amsterdam. The purple reception area doubles as a lounge for evening drinks. The stylish breakfast room has dark wooden tables, cowhide stools and a long, white banquette running down one side of the room.
Hotel V has a relaxing garden, ideal during the summer months. There are 24 rooms, decorated in a minimalist fashion – white sheets, pale wooden bed heads, fresh flowers , a simple desk and chair, a TV and hip slogans on the walls, (such as “Live and let live”). The bathrooms are simple – white and clean, with the remaining few to be renovated soon, although it is the décor and not the standard that is being changed. This is a great hotel for those on a budget who appreciate stylish simplicity.
