Atlantic House Hotel is perched on the slopes of the Twelve Apostles Mountains overlooking up-market Camps Bay where there are many fine restaurants. This five star boutique hotel in Cape Town’s suburbs enjoys wonderful Atlantic views with occasional sights of seal, dolphins and whales. There are sandy beaches nearby whilst Cape Town’s shopping, restaurants, V&A Waterfront and attractions are a short drive away. Atlantic House is also well located for taking a trip to the Cape wineries in the area. Explore the museums and gardens of the city or take a boat trip to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated.
Atlantic House Hotel is the perfect hideaway for a quiet romantic stay overlooking the Atlantic coastline. It recently won first place for ‘Breathtaking Views’ by the IRHA. With just five guestrooms, the atmosphere is quiet, friendly and unobtrusive. Children under 12 are not allowed. There are plenty of quiet nooks to take a book or sit in the garden and listen to the waves. This luxury guesthouse has the air of a luxury private home of a wealthy friend with its unstinting comforts and relaxed atmosphere. Service par excellence is lavished on guests with help when required, and privacy when not.
The five rooms of this chic boutique hotel are decorated and furnished in a simple modern style. The neutral colours and custom made furnishings show that nothing is left to chance. The comfortable yet unpretentious rooms have satellite TV, WiFi internet access, air conditioning and a well-stocked minibar. Silks and crisp cottons contrast with the suede and dark wood furnishings in these spacious rooms. A coffee tray and snack basket are an indulgent treat. Bathrooms are spacious and include bathtubs and separate showers. Most rooms lead out onto private decks but one room has its own secluded garden of tranquility complete with alfresco shower.
This boutique hotel features water in many forms – the decked saltwater swimming pool, the tropical aquarium in the breakfast room and sea views from almost every window and terrace. Although the Atlantic House does not have its own restaurant, there are excellent restaurants nearby at Camps Bay and Kalk Bay where the fresh fish is highly recommended. The lounge bar is kept well stocked and is on a help-yourself basis. Pefect for mixing your own cocktail and watching the sunset from the terrace.
