Billing is cruise-ship modern, and can be monitored on the bedroom TV, or even from the bathroom TV whilst soaking in the tub if so desired. Most suites have terraces, vast luxury bathrooms and a separate dressing area.
The emphasis here is on service, and Le Meridien upholds its own high standards. Front desk staff speak good English and the doorman is second to none, hailing cabs, holding doors and loading luggage without fuss. Room service also is very efficient and speedy. Valet parking is available, another surprising amenity in this busy city centre hotel. No wonder the guest book is full of such celebrity names as Pavarotti, Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones and Madonna.
The hotel offers a well-equipped business centre with free internet access, as well as a small fitness room but no pool.
