Press Quotes
"The De las Letras Hotel & Restaurante has walls inscribed with quotes by famous writers and poets, and a rooftop terrace with sweeping views." Conde Nast Traveler 06
"As much emphasis is placed on the quality of the food as on the rooms, and a separate side-street entrance is encouraging non-residents to use the bar as a meeting place." The Independent 05
Client Reviews
My stay at the De Las Letras
Hotel.MadridMadrid. was very pleasantindeed. The rooms are spacious and wellequipped. The decor is quite modern with a spanishtwist. Our only complaints about this hotel would bethat the Spa was closed whilst we were there and the menu in the restaurant doesn't change - but in fairness. you are in the centre of Madrid so its not likethere is a restaurant shortage! The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to Sol & Plaza Major and not too far from the main shopping area..

De las Letras Hotel & restaurant was by far the
best hotel we stayed at during our 3 weeks in Spain! Although I usually don't care for hotel resturants.this one was certainly excellent! The menu wasinnovative and broad with all care taken in the food quality. preparationpreparation. appearance andservice. The hotelrooms. like therestaurant. were fresh andcomtemporary. The overall decor wasbrilliant. even thecrisp. ironedironed. white sheets somehow resembled unwritten pagesfrom a "book"". the theme throughout thehotel. Thevalue. comfort and location weregreat. I couldn't ask forbetter!".

I decided to introduce my boyfriend to Spain to
show him my culture. We decided to visitMadrid. I was torn between three hotels and decided topick this one because I saw a picture of the bathroom and decided to take a chance. I stayed at De Las Letras lastyear. latefall. I must say that I experienced the best stay for amoderate price hotel. I read a review about the hotel in Vogue Espanawhen I was visiting my family in the summer and thought it would be very pricy but it was not. The service was AMAZING and the rooms weremodern. very clean andcozy. The building itself is beautiful! It is inwalking distance to shopping. night life and sightseeing. I am working on planning another trip to Madridand will definitley stay there again. Take it from a VERY picky person!:).
