Detailed Review
In the business centre of Seville, this restored mansion lies close to the cathedral between the squares of San Francisco and Salvador. Its name reflects the history of the area, which was once home to many immigrant merchants. The 19th-century original has been fully renovated - at the time, an 18th-century patio was discovered. Much of the original style and grace notes were retained. Most of the medium-size rooms have balconies and classic Spanish furnishings.
Concierge staff can provide advice on sightseeing and tour bookings in the city and surrounding area. Two complimentary, high-speed Internet PCs are available in the lobby for the use of all guests. For business guests there is meeting room for 15 people, as well as fax services. There is a parking garage on site beneath the hotel.
The Casa de los Mercaderes has 47 air-conditioned guestrooms spread over two floors. All have light traditional decor featuring a floral motif that extends to the artwork, curtains, and bedding. The beds have either wrought iron or cherry wood frames. Furniture, such as bedside tables and wardrobes, is cherry wood. More modern amenities include satellite television, minibars, and safes. Marble bathrooms feature gilt-framed mirrors, Andalusian-style tiles, and complimentary toiletries.
