Located on Slussen, Södermalm with excellent views, this historic luxury hotel in Stockholm’s Old City is well located for both business and pleasure. The Central railway station and business area are just a few minutes walk away and a good choice of restaurants, bars and shops are just a stone’s throw from the door of the Anno 1647 hotel. The nearby Gamla Stan offers plenty to see in the old cobbled streets including the Royal Palace, the Cathedral and the historic merchants’ houses. Other attractions include the Nobel Museum, the Riddarholm Church and the Den Gyldene Freden restaurant, listed in the Guinness Book of Records as being the oldest existing restaurant with an unaltered interior. The Anno 1647 is 42km from Arlanda airport and the T-bana metro stop is just around the corner.
This charmingly individual luxury hotel in Stockholm’s Old Town is situated in two old townhouses now joined together. The oldest house was built in 1647, and the newer house dates back to the middle of the 18th century, giving unique character to the more modern interior of these historic premises.
There are just 42 guests rooms in the Anno 1647, giving this a rather boutique hotel individuality, and they range from economy and superior rooms to business rooms and suites. The upgraded rooms enjoy handmade continental Hästens Sheraton and Carpe diem beds, working desk space, a hairdryer, cable TV and WiFi internet access. Business rooms and suites also have direct dial telephone lines and fax machines. All the guest rooms are comfortable with clean light décor and plenty of space. The hotel also offers small conference rooms which are available for board meetings, Art shows etc.
As the Hotel Anno 1647 is so centrally located, it only offers a bar and restaurant service by prior arrangement, but there are many excellent restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
