Jumeirah Beach Hotel

Architecturally interesting, otherwise this hotel is a package tourist’s hotspot. Rooms are unoriginal but each one has a sea view through floor to ceiling windows. The hotel has its own marina and from here you have an excellent choice of watersports, even scuba diving. The hotel is right next door to Wild Wadi, a water park, which is great for entertaining the kids while you lounge on the beach, but it does increase the noise level enormously. The real gem of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel is Beit al Bahar, a separate entity of 19 villas on the other side of Wild Wadi from the main hotel but still within the grounds of the resort. These large villas are decorated in very traditional Arabian style. They all centre around a large shared pool, even though each villa has its own terrace and plunge pool. There is a small restaurant here, for those who don’t want to stray too far, and even though Wild Wadi lurks just behind a separating wall, the noise doesn’t penetrate the tranquillity at all. Service here is much more personalized and the reception area is independent of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
