Detailed Review
One of Chicago's most significant architectural landmarks, the 105-year-old Reliance Building on State Street was reborn in October 1999 as the Hotel Burnham after a sweeping $27.5 million refurbishment and renovation. Named after famed city planner and architect Daniel Burnham of D.H. Burnham and Co., the firm that originally designed the Reliance Building, the 122-room European-style Hotel Burnham is situated in the heart of Chicago's Central Business District and the State Street retail and theatre district.
The luxury Hotel Burnham caters to distinguishing guests, offering quality service in an intimate, one-of-a-kind setting. Enveloped in rich fabrics of gold and blue, the Burnham's inviting guestrooms reflect the elegance and intimacy of our downtown boutique hotel. Complemented by dramatic bay windows and magnificent views of the Chicago skyline, a focal point is the guest bed with its blue velvet headboard, a canopy of sheer gold fabric and a soft cotton sateen bedspread covered with mischievous cherubs.
Seductively extravagant and whimsically appointed two-room suites provide room to do everything or absolutely nothing.
