The facilities
There are three restaurants at this luxury hotel: Restaurant 24/7, The Cactus Lounge and the AstroTurf poolside deck. 24/7 boasts an eclectic menu of international comfort-food. The Cactus lounge serves a snack-based menu and the AstroTurf serves simple, international cuisine, poolside. The Purple Lounge is the Standard Hollywood’s bar, which has violet lighting, hanging swing chairs and a cosmopolitan crowd.
This luxury hotel boasts an outdoor pool for cooling off from the California heat. There are also babysitting services available to guests with children as well as a barber and hair stylist to ensure that guests’ hair is fully serviced. There is also a laundry/dry cleaning service, 24-hour room service and a fitness centre.
The rooms
The Standard Hollywood luxury hotel’s rooms embody chic comfort, with silver beanbag chairs and ultra-suede floor pillows. All rooms come with king beds with down pillows. There are flat-screen TVs as well as DVD players, iPod docks and high-speed internet access. For gazing off into the sunset, each room has a private balcony or terrace.
