Detailed Review
Located in the South-of-Market district at the crossroads of the San Francisco’s most vibrant downtown venues, the luxury Hotel Palomar offers urban sophistication with a vintage twist .The luxury hotel resides in the top five floors of the renovated Pacific Place Building, a 1908 office building, and offers guest top-notch services with retro glamour.
The facilities
Hotel Palomar’s lounge area with plush sofas leads to the Fifth Floor restaurant, which serves modern French and seasonal California cuisine. In-room spa services such as massage, manicures, and body wraps are arranged through Equilibrium Spa at fellow Kimpton-group property Hotel Monaco. There’s also a small fitness room available at the luxury hotel.
The rooms
The 198 rooms at the luxury hotel are all furnished in a sophisticated clean-lined style. Rooms mix animal print carpeting, striped drapes, Frette linens and sleek furniture to achieve a 1930s pastiche. The Executive King room has great views; otherwise all the deluxe doubles have interior locations. If you’re an art fan, the Magritte Suite tributes the surrealist with features like a trompe l’oeil cloud-filled ceiling and a bowl of signature green apples. All the spacious bathrooms feature an array of botanical- infused L’Occitane products.
