In creating The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa, we looked to nature as our source of inspiration. With the rugged beauty of the Santa Catalina Mountains as a backdrop, we didn't have to look far. The suprisingly lush High Sonoran Desert plays host to giant saguaro cactus, rare native succulents, wild flowers and song birds. In fact, everyone who visits La Paloma seem inspired by its high desert difference. Nestled in the foothills and surrounded by desert gardens, a waterfall and natural rock formations, this extraordinary environment is a natural catalyst to wonderful vacations and successful meetings.

This sporty (golf – and lots of it, with a Jack Nicklaus-designed course taking pride of place), but decidedly swanky southwestern resort is a real oasis, surrounded by desertscapes that are rich in vegetation; the gardens (and – of course – those fairways) are lush and varied. Rooms are bright, sunny and the furniture cherry-finished hardwood. Spa treatments include hydrotherapy and alfresco massages. Plenty of foodie options, including the Desert Garden Bistro and Janos, for formal French.
